"In 2016, Puerto Rico was hit by devastating Hurricane Maria. So, we thought of an initiative for sneakerheads to help.
Every serious sneakerhead has at least one pair of shoes that they have never worn. So, Foot Locker asked them to donate a pair of unworn shoes to Puerto Rico, and Foot Locker matched every donation with a pair of their own.

Usually, Foot Locker sends boxes of the newest sneakers to influencers for unboxing videos. But this year, we sent them an empty box. The box was an invitation for them to donate a pair of unworn sneakers to Puerto Rico. This initiative sparked a movement, and sneakerheads donated over 5000 pairs of sneakers.​
